iSpectral

iSpectral is a FFT analyzer that displays spectral waveform from microphone.  Below are some of the features:

1. Multi-touch or traditional drag zooming and panning

2. Export data to file or socket                                           

3. Read and display data from saved file for playback

4. Easy Crossbar readout for finding the delta frequency and amplitude

5. Changeable sample rate and averaging

6. Does max hold and trigger range

iSpectral Manual

1.  Buttons

Two types of mode: Main Mode (M-Mode) and Graph Mode (G-Mode).

Main Mode

  • Start / Stop - start and stop the recorder
  • Hold / Release - display a second waveform that represents the signal with the maximum power output
  • Reset-reset the max hold waveform
  • Sc Off / Sc On -disable or enable auto scale

Graph Mode

  • Zm Box/ Zm Multi - two types of zoom options: box and mult-touch. Box zoom is your traditional touch drag and release to zoom. Multi-touch zoom is panning in/out to zoom in and dragging left or right to shift data
  • XBar 1/XBar 2- select to make the cross bar active for value readout
  • Reset - reset the back to original

 2. Menu Buttons

There are three menu buttons:

  •  Main-is the same as M-Mode. Will activate the buttons when press
  • Graph - is the same as G-Mode
  • Setting-is a preference sub window

  • Sample Rate- select the sample rate of the device to record
  • FFTSize- the size of the FFT window
  • Signal Trigger - Set trigger percentage range of new data.  Will only display new data according you to percent value
  • Play Mode -can play or record file from microphone, file or socket
  • IP Address of the server to send the data
  • IP Port Number: The port number of the server
  • Input File Name-the name of the file for play back
  • Save  File As-the name of the file when using record mode
  • Byte Order-the endian type setting for reading binary data
  • Number of Crossbars-select the options for number of crossbar to display
  • Averaging -number of data sample to average before displaying
  • Line Mode-select the draw mode such as point, solid, or line
  • Background Color-select the background color
  • Line Color-select the color of the line
  • Label Color
  • Value Color
  • Screen Orientation-Set device orientation such as portrait, landscape or device setting
  • Disable Screen Timeout - prevent the screen form sleeping
  • Reset All Defaults-Reset all values to default
